How do I create a new blog post/article?
A blog is the best way to get great information onto your site for your current clients and potential clients. Search engines, such as Google, love fresh regular content on websites. The more regularly you put new content onto your website site the more you can move up the search engine rankings. Also do not forget to share your blog posts on social media!
Step 1: Go too "My Content" on your Dashboard
Step 2: Select "Blog" from the list on the left and select the "Add New" button on the top right. Note: If you do not see "Blog" under "My Content" go too "Apps" and add the "Blog Posts" app.
Step 3: On the "New Entry" pop up you will be adding in the Blog posts details: The Title, Tags (optional), The body of the blog post and the Featured image (optional).
- Title: This is the name of the blog post
- Tags (optional): This assigns your blog post to a category. If this blog post is about insurance you would add the tag insurance. You can have multiple tags on blog posts.
- Body: This is where you insert the blog post content: Text, images, video embed etc.
- Featured Image (optional): This is the image that appears on social media and on the blog teaser section depending on what element you have chosen when you built your site.
- Once you have everything done press "Save".
